One unforgettable paranormal experience that frequently crosses my mind occurred during my college years when I lived in an old, historic dormitory. This building was known on campus for its rich history and rumored ghostly inhabitants. One night, while studying late, I heard faint, ethereal piano music coming from an empty common area down the hall. This was peculiar because it was well past midnight, and everyone else had gone to bed.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to investigate. As I approached, the music grew clearer, yet there was something unsettling about it, as if every note was slightly distorted but undeniably melodic. When I entered the common area, the piano was empty, but the music continued to play as though an invisible pianist fingered the keys.

The room was eerily cold despite the warm weather, and I felt a palpable sense of a presence there. Just as abruptly as it had started, the music ceased when I called out to see if anyone was there, leaving a lingering sense of calm intertwined with fear. No rational explanation surfaced; no hidden speakers or pranksters were ever found, leaving the experience both haunting and fascinating. To this day, I often revisit this moment, pondering its nature and the thin veil between our reality and the unknown.
