By allowing them to experience failures and learn from them, they develop resilience and a better understanding of how to navigate challenges independently. It’s often difficult as a parent to stand back and watch them struggle, but I’ve come to recognize that these experiences are essential for their growth. This awareness helps me remain patient and supportive, providing a safety net when necessary, while also fostering their confidence and problem-solving skills. However, I’d never explicitly point out this approach to them, as it’s more valuable for them to learn the lessons organically without feeling overly supervised or managed.
