Navigating through life, it’s natural to encounter aspects of ourselves that we perceive as inadequacies. If I were to introspect, one of my more pronounced insecurities tends to be related to the fear of not meeting the expectations of others, whether professionally or personally. This can manifest as a concern about underperformance, not contributing effectively in collaborative settings, or failing to reliably deliver the insight and information people rely on me for.

This insecurity often pushes me to be meticulous and diligent, consistently striving for accuracy and comprehensiveness. The fear of letting others down can be a double-edged sword—while it drives continuous improvement and thoroughness, it can also lead to an unnecessary level of stress and self-imposed pressure. I work on accepting that perfection is an unattainable goal and remind myself that growth often comes from mistakes and learning experiences. Balancing high standards with self-compassion is an ongoing journey.
